Le_papillon loiseau

I really like my car. When people see my car on the red light. They call me and make me a sign on the road ^ ^ Ha Ha! its happened to me once so far .. This is so funny. They see how French people can be funny sometimes. The French people have this habit to complain a lot. Not me.

Teaching French with the PK3 is so much fun. I am enjoying  each minutes I spend with them. We are learning how to identify the color in French. We also learn The days of the week. We dance  and we sing in french. For me, It is a real pleasure to work with them. In elementary school, teachers focus on teaching their students concepts rather than facts. We are also doing it with the language.

It has access to the high-speed train known as TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse), which makes it easier to travel and visit other cities such as Paris. Lyon has also been recognized as the capital of gastronomy in France, due to the presence of the finest chefs. It’s heritage reflects different eras through the cityscape, from Roman ruins to the most modern architecture styles and tells the rich tale of a city that continues to evolve.

It is a great advantage to live in the French culture and being able to hear the language all the time. Spending time with people that reside in France will open your mind to their ways of living. This way, you will be able to develop and apply what you are learning and what you are yet to learn.

Language is perhaps the most important tool that came out of the evolution of mankind because it meant we could communicate and work together to achieve a better quality of life.

In today’s multicultural and technologically advanced world, multilinguals are above the communication chain rising above all others in the competitive job market. Contrary to most beliefs, it is never too early or too late to learn a new language. People are always developing innovative ways to learn and with the help of technology the task of the learner is getting much easier.

Languages can be taught with conventional methods such as evening courses, software, Internet videos, and many others promising to work wonders in a limited amount of time. Some offer learning the basics in less than three weeks, or three months for introductory conversation. There are numerous teaching methods and learning styles out there, after all learning a new language is not a one-size fits all process. We are always tempted by the quickest methods; however, they don’t always come cheap and satisfaction isn’t always guaranteed.

So why do people keep trying to learn a language after several failed attempts, why do they continue spending their time and money? Because the reality is that actually learning an additional language has its advantages, among them an increase in your earning power because.

Companies are looking to higher bi or tri-lingual employees who will help them succeed in a growing multicultural marketplace. Faced with this highly competitive job market, young generations understand that learning languages mean you’re a more marketable candidate. In turn, educational institutions recognize this as well and now offer students more language programs and opportunities for students interested in expanding their language skills, hoping to prepare students for these competitive job markets.

For most this process isn’t an easy one. While there are many tools and methods out there to learn a new language, it is important to take the time to find out which method works best for you.

“I am American and spoke only English my entire life,” explains Laura from Miami, Florida. “I tried learning French in high school but it was extremely difficult for me. After two years of French, I knew a handful of adjectives and how to write the days of the week. Fast forward a few years later and I was finally making a dream of visiting Paris come true. I hired a personal tutor in the hopes I’d at least learn how to make a reservation. In less than 6 months I had accomplished more with this private tutor than two years of high school French. The secret lied in the contrasting teaching methods –one very textbook oriented with a strong focus on memorization and the second, a more hands-on approach with a focus on repetition.”

In learning a new language you open yourself up to another culture and way of life, and even increase your brainpower in the process. Research has shown that new neurons are actually created when you learn a foreign language, which in turn keeps your mind young. While many have been challenged in the process of learning a new language, just as many have been reaped the cultural and economic rewards of being multilingual in today’s fast-paced, multicultural society.
